FAQ for Quest Camp 2025

  • Quest Camp is a new event dreamed up by the student (6th-12th grade) and elementary (4th-5th grade) leadership at Central United Methodist Church and Denton Wesleyan Church. We define quest as a journey with a purpose. Our purpose with Quest Camp is to give your child a dedicated retreat where they can focus on what’s most important - growing healthy and thriving relationships with peers, mentors, with God - and having a blast while they grow! This event will be packed with games, relaxation, small groups, intentional Bible messages, worship, and fellowship.

  • Quest Camp 2024 is Friday, February 14th - Saturday, February 15th.

We will leave the parking lot of Denton Wesleyan Church at 4:15pm on 2/14/25 and return to the same location at 2:15pm on 2/15/25. Any changes to this schedule will be communicated directly to the primary contact listed in your child’s registration form.

  • This year’s Quest Camp will be held at the following location:

    Pinehill Baptist Retreat

    2096 Baptist Road

    Bennettsville, SC 29512

  • So much! We are so excited for the activities planned for Quest Camp 2025! Your student will compete in games and participate in worship services and small groups where they will be challenged to think deeply about themselves and the world around them. They will have time to rest and enjoy time with friends around a well-supervised and regulated camp ground.

In the event of a “picky eater” you will be asked to send alternative meals with your child that will be stored for them in our kitchen.

  • When you register your student for this event you will receive a list of contacts relative to the church you are registered through (either Central United Methodist Church or Denton Wesleyan Church). The phone number of Pinehill Baptist Retreat is (843)479-9681.

If your student has an emergency during the retreat, we will contact the emergency contacts listed in their registration.

  • Everything is provided for your child through their registration payment. We will not make any stops on the road or go to any locations offsite during their retreat. Your child will not need any extra money for this event. Any unforeseen needs specific to your child will be taken care of by our leadership and communicated to you directly.

  • Quest Camp has a full schedule of activities that your child will be participating in. We ask that no electronics other than a personal cell phone be brought to this event.

  • You can pay through cash or check to your youth pastor/leader (please write “quest camp” in the memo of any checks). If you would like to pay online, please reach out to your youth pastor/leader to receive direction.

  • We will provide group transportation that will depart from the parking lot of Denton Wesleyan Church. We ask that all students plan to ride with us to Quest Camp so that everyone is there at the same time and our events can start on time! Please reach out to your youth pastor if you have extenuating circumstances that would prevent your child from riding with the larger group.

  • Reach out to your youth pastor and they will work with you pick-up/drop-off procedures from Pinehill Baptist Retreat.
